Attend to me!

Today is my birthday.

I mention this for two reasons
1) so you can shower me with attention and,
2) so you can see what a geek i am when i tell you about the presents i got.

I got a wireless mouse for my laptop (the Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000, she's a real beauty,) and a gift certificate to get my car detailed! No perfume or clothes for this woman, no indeed.

Looking over the literature accompanying my shiny new black mouse i notice that (and i quote);

"Failure to properly set up, use, and care for this product can increase the risk of serious injury or death."

OMG! Death by mouse. It happens you know, just like spontaneous human combustion.

Apparently i should also not eat the battery. Good to know.

That is all.

Happy Birthday! now, get that battery OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!

So you don't want a bite of the battery birthday cake I made you?

Sigh.

Nevermind.

Have a great birthday! Don't let the cats near that mouse.

DON'T TOUCH THE MOUSE!

I had a sunscreen for the car - a completely opaque one - and it said "do not use while driving."

Happy Birthday, you hot wench, you.

I guess if you tried to eat it, it might get stuck somewhere nasty . . .

Happy birthday!

My birthday was last Thursday but I am many years older than you. My wife got me a nice shirt and two batteries that came in a new 2010 Toyota Prius. I knew she didn't really like the Smart Car.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, O WONDROUS ONE!!!

Have a perfect day and a beautiful year. And if there were a proper cake, you wouldn't have to contemplate eating that battery. (Pass it on.)

You think YOU'RE a geek? My birthday was in June. I decided to avoid disappointment this year and buy myself a present. Sad and lame, I know, but I AM enjoying it. Rock on!

I wonder how hungry one would have to be before one eats a friggin' battery? What's frightening is there is probably an actual legitimate answer to the question.

In any event, have a happy and safe birthday!

Happy Birthday!
Ah you have the same birthday as my Brother-in-law 9/15, and my sister's birthday is tomorrow 9/16, and they got married on 9/17 :)

Happy Birthday! I was really hurting my brain trying to remember when it was - thought it was BEFORE mine and for some reason you were keeping a lid on it.

I LOVE the wireless mouse, but IT eats batteries. Probably because I let my child play online games, though. YOU don't do that, right?

For my gift, I got a magnetic bumper sticker for my car that has a non-magnetic bumper.

I find that as I get older I tend to read the warnings on all things....I need to lol.

Have a GREAT day and stick a finger in the icing for me!

What a great epitaph: killed by eating a mouse. No, not Mickey!

I had a similar experience with De with my wireless mouse eating batteries as if there were no tomorrow.

Happy birthday!!

You and I would get along FINE in real life, I think, Meno; I've been asking for car detailing passes for major holidays for years...

All the best Meno. Enjoy the day.

Happy Birthday! And please be careful with DangerMouse.

well - I am using a wireless keyboard & mouse as we "speak". Little did I know I was living life dangerously. Welcome to the club!

Many happy returns of the day.

I would be more than happy to pick up something for you here in Bahrain, you have only to ask.

I used my Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 to fight off an attacking bear. It didn't work, and I died.

Let my death be a warning to all of you. Only use the Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 for purposes intended.

happy day, meno!

death by mouse. sounds like a very modern take on an agatha christie novel.

A belated happy birthday - and be careful with that mouse.

Jennifer said...

What exactly could you *do* with a mouse that would cause DEATH, I'd like to know?

And happy birthday. With many happy returns, but not of presents. ;-)

Hope you had a Happy Birthday. Several of the bloggers that I read have recently had birthdays. I must be attracted to your confident, intelligent, wise, witty and.....so pretty....I feel a song coming on....I was looking for the word strength.

DON'T LET YOUR BABIES OR PUPPIES SUCK OR CHEW ON THE BATTERIES WHILE YOU ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW THE MOUSE WORKS.BATTERY ACID CAN BE FATAL TO CHILDREN AND SMALL ANIMALS.

Ok, better late then never.

-HAPPY BIRTHDAY!-

I love stuff like "Don't eat the battery" because apparently some lovely person out there did.

Eeek! Menoooo! I'm late to the lovefest. But HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belatedly) from me, too. I hope you have not gotten into any tiffs with the deadly mouse.

Happy Belated Birthday, hope it was all you'd hope and more!

I'll add your name to my list of Bloggers' Birthday!

I can't believe I missed your birthday!

Happy happy oh great and wise geek blog one. I like the gifts you get. That's the kind of stuff that makes my heart flutter.

Wow, I wonder how many people have died this way? Perhaps there needs to be some government funded studies on this. Maybe I should draw up a proposal. Heh.

When you ask for (and gladly receive) computer parts/accessories for birthdays, holidays etc.,you become known as a true "geek" in every sense of the word.

Happy birthday to you :) and everyone else!

We virgos are the finest people (mine was the 17th)

Happy Birthday! And about that death by mouse... mock not - mice can be dangerous! I have a repetitive stress injury in my right shoulder...too much mousing. Pathetic.
