Roll call

This picture has nothing to do with anything. I'm just messing around. This is one of my cats. The one who brought me a bunny and a rat last night. He doesn't look like a killer does he?

After yesterday's post about being married so long, i got up this morning to find one single half square clinging to the toilet paper roll. And so i thought about the Mister at that moment. Yes i did.

So here is one thing he does that i do like. Even when he is in a meeting at work, he will answer my phone calls and then say, "Bye darlin' " as he hangs up, even though there are a bunch of men sitting around in his office.

I thought about that as i stood up with my pajamas around my ankles to get a new roll. And i smiled.

Love the photo of "killer." Look at that innocent little face and those sweet green eyes. Hi, mom, I brought you a rat and a bunny.

It is SO sweet that your Mister says "Bye darlin'." I want to trade mine in for one that says that! It almost makes me teary it's so sweet.

That picture is fascinating for some reason. It looks like the perspective of a beetle hoping the cat doesn't notice it. Or maybe that's just the hallucinogens talking.

Awww, I miss having cats. Later when I'm not cleaning up the poop of twins, I'll take on the poop of another. Cat that is.

You keep a balanced happy perspective even with your pajamas around your ankles - a skill I need to work on. :-)

We both had the same pet name for each other for years... "Hey, Hon!" Then we adopted a greyhound by the name of Honey (her coat color and kennel name) and we somehow lost the personal connotation, possibly due to confusion. Honey's departed now... wonder if our pet name for each other will resurface...

Aww. I miss our kitty.

I could learn a thing or two from you regarding not getting pissed off about the TP or when I fall into the toliet in the middle of the night, because the seats been left up.

::ahem::

And, as you know, there is one of the secrets to a long and (mostly) happy marriage.

Sweet nothings are something very few people will dare to utter over the phone in a hushed, professional City office in London.

Ian's colleagues stared at him the first time he said "Bye - I love you" over the phone to me, so he stood up with hands on hips and said "Now look here, if a chap can't tell his lady that he loves her, I don't know what the world's coming to" in very stentorian, authoritative tones.

Now he makes a point of saying it every time, just to embarrass them. I love that man.

(And it makes me forgive him more readily for leaving a trail of pants and socks all over the house.)

Gorgeous killer cat, by the way.

Great picture. Taken from the perspective of it's prey!

I think that it takes 25 years of perspective to remember why you love him whilst rummaging for toilet paper with your jammies around your ankles. Another club benefit.

Hi, I found you via Whoopee and Fussy...

That is the cutest cat, ever, and a perfect picture of the heaven of a life that they lead. Just hiding in the grass, so cute!

You are wise to think of the whole picture. Always the good with the irritating...why is that?

lucia, it really is sweet. He has his priorities straight on this one.

maggie, to me life without cats is a sad thing. I have two of them curled up around me as i type. Hard to remember the carnage when they look sooooo sweet.

kj, the use of the same pet name for both of you is a stroke of genius, let us know if it resurfaces. Sorry about Honey, greyhounds are gorgeous.

urban, i try to keep perspective about it all, sometimes it actually works.

antonia, i think i love Ian too. Good for him, he is exactly right. If folks get embarrassed when overhearing endearments, they can go to hell.

Hi bob, yeah, it did take all 25 years right at that moment.

I just discovered you today via a link on Mrs. Kennedy's blog. I sat here and read your entire archive and I have to say that I'm a tiny bit in love with you. Of course you have to live on the other side of the continent! If an entire country didn't seperate us I would have you over for drinks (and sneaky smokes) every night at 7.

Sounds like you're on a roll. Yeah!

greentshirt, Aww, thank you. If i lived closer i would come over and have that drink with you and maybe sneak a smoke too.

mamap, you know it!

What do you think when he leaves his clothes all over the livingroom, and hanging on the back of the diningroom chair?? I always freak out a little bit.

Hi bo, the Mister doesn't do that, he leaves all his clothes in a HUGE pile next to his side of the bed, where i can ignore it fairly well, until it's time to vacuum. But then he wonders where his clean clothes are because he doesn't put anything in the hamper.
