Aiming for 100
Well hi there. Thank you all for your supportive comments and suggestions. I find my own behavior unacceptable, but it's nice that none of you called me a jerk, at least not to my face.
Although Scott did say something like, it's okay to yell, but knock off that throwing stuff crap. I agree. I am going to take some of the information provided by you nice people and work on that. All i can truthfully promise is that i will try REALLY REALLY HARD not to lose it again.
The last person i went off on was my husband (although i did not throw anything) about a month ago. After i calmed down i had to go and apologize with my tail between my legs.
Last night we were chatting about something or other and he said, "I like talking to you because you are so reasonable."
I raised one eyebrow (a useful skill that i have passed on to my daughter) and looked askance at him.
"Well," he amended, "you are reasonable 99.98% of the time."
I just need to work on that other .02%.

I think that's one of the nicest things I've heard a husband say. Reasonable is the most underrated virtue.
Mignon is right, that's pretty darn cool. .02% ain't bad, seriously.
It's a lot of hard work being reasonable 99.98% of the time. The resulting stress is bound to lead to a blow out now and then....
My batting average is way lower than that. Well done.
WOW! I'm betting that your average is better than most of the population - take it and run with it, Girlfriend!!
About this tail. Is it bobbed, or long and silky?
If that's the worst complaint he has about you (that two hundredths of a percent-worth of unreasonableness) then you must be a damned fine wife. *S*
seems to me you are ahead of the game
mignon, it was a nice thing to say. I'll treasure it.
maggie, i'm giving myself until next week to become perfect.
daisy, That's one way to look at it. I am just aiming for less spectacular blowing. (ahem)
deb, i think he exaggerated, but that's okay by me.
mrs. chili, i am running. :)
patches. my tail is very long and silky.
irr, wonder if his snoring makes up for that .02%?
flutter. many days i am. Some days, not so much.
FWIW, i can raise one eyebrow too, you should see my kids try to do it
That's a damn good percentage, Meno.
.02% huh.
not bad. not bad.
I really need to learn as well. My percentages are far less impressive.
You are just fine, sweets. Keeping up that high percentage rate is bound to cause the stray freak-out.
Sounds like progress to me! Also sounds like he is fairly understanding.
maybe a weekly massage would cover the.02% Get your zen and grin.
I just made myself throw up a little with that zen thing..
I like these percentages.
Aw now, you didn't mention the snoring! Of COURSE that makes up for it, in spades!
...and it's not something you need try tackle by sheer will; sometimes stuff goes much deeper than that Meno, it can be quite complex the why's and wherefore's we do and say ..(or NOT!) the things we do.
I just know there is so much great help out there...sometimes the bravest step is to ask for some help and skills on how to deal and understand stuff.
You are so many wonderful things to so many people...sometimes we forget to be caring and healing and wonderful to ourselves.
Ya know?
Just hugs mate, you are never alone.
Pam
At least your positive opinion rating is higher than ANY president in history!
Now that the stress of the child girls' life has eased for you... I'm hoping your outbust vibes will take it easier on you...ooooommmmmm~~~
furious, it's a great skill to have.
princess, yeah, but i don't want to be too smug, because i HATE losing my temper.
crazy, i wonder if i will ever learn.
qt, thank you. that's nice of you.
vanessa, he is, but he never loses it like that. I think i've only seen it once.
ttq, that's a great idea. Anything involving a massage is fine with me.
egan, yeah? Kinda geeky huh?
irr, i know! Snoring is every night too.
pam, you are sweet to say that. thank you.
cheesy, wouldn't be harder to do better than this president. Snort!
I love reading your blog 100% of the time. So, I think that makes us both perfect! So, you don't have to wait til tomorrow!
See? Not too shabby. That means only .02% guilt which can be nicely diluted in time.
Geeky, but in a good way. It shows you care and that's what counts.
