VACATION!

Tomorrow morning at o'fuck thirty The Mister and i are leaving for Chicago.

(Dammit, there's a bug in my wine! Oh well, no better way to die than in a glass of wine.)

Anyway, i love Chicago. I have only fond memories of the last time i was in Chicago, where i sort of attended Blogher and roomed with two of my favorite bloggers. (No linking as one of them has gone underground. You know who you are.)

We will be meeting up with two of my favorite people (not bloggers) and spending 5 days roaming around and avoiding the police. YES!

We are leaving our child at home alone, so if any of you attend a kegger that she holds, please try not to spill wine on the carpet or break anything.

Thanks.

Chicago! You lucky duck. I find it so fabulous that you travel like you do. Pics please.

And that sucks about the early flight. God speed. (well, not god in your case... atheist speed to you, my dear pagan. And lots of love!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Have a great time in the Windy City. I forgot about that whole BlogHer gathering. Sometimes it's nice to hang out with non-bloggers, it only whets your appetite for more blogger interaction.

Chicago's fabulous. I was there for the first time last summer. It's got a great feel to it, relaxed and friendly. Jenny and I had lots of fun with the reflections at Cloud Gate. And all those amazing beaches!

I love that nick calls it "Cloud Gate" (its proper name) and not "The Bean" like everyone else.

Please report back on the new wing of the art institute and, well, everything else you do. Love that town. Dreamt I moved there (but not into my grandparents' house).

Have a fun trip. My family is going to spend a day or two in Chicago this summer on our way to a wedding in Wisconsin. Probably wont be the same with kids, but I am really looking forward to our trip.

Em, if you clean the house too well after the party, it's a dead giveaway....

Someone once told me that the only time of the year to visit Chicago is in October. Otherwise it was too hot, too cold, too smoggy and/or too high humidity. But I'd probably go when I had the chance, too. And if you know where to go and stay in climate controlled areas, no place would be bad. Have fun!
